Attended by HRH The Prince of Wales, London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, Joanna Lumley and John Malkovich, the high profile Evening Standard Progress 1000 awards party celebrated the most influential Londoners at London’s Science Museum.
Guests were greeted with cocktails such as Apple Julep (Bourbon, lemon juice, apple juice, mint, dried apple wheels), Best of British (Gin, elderflower, lemon juice, rhubarb bitters, tonic water) and Laurent Perrier Champagne Raspberry Cocktail (Framboise liqueur, raspberry coulis, camomile tea syrup topped with Champagne).
Canapés included Nori rice crackers, grilled beef, truffle pearls, béarnaise sauce, Fish and chips on edible Evening Standard newspaper and Native lobster, watermelon, mint, borage flowers, coronation mayonnaise. Bowl food followed, including Summer risotto of asparagus, nettles, quail egg, candied bergamot, Truffled mac and cheese, Confit cod loin, sweet pea mash, dashi foam and Lamb fillet mole, sweet potato mash.
Highlights included a performance from Mercury Music Prize winner, Benjamin Clementine, a sneak peak of the new Zaha Hadid Mathematics Gallery and the guest of honour, HRH Prince Charles, being presented with the Londoner of the Decade Award.
