We love working in many of London’s most prestigious galleries, which offer an ever-changing backdrop for dynamic and inspirational events.
Organisers have a rare opportunity to hold events during ‘blank canvas’ periods over the summer at Somerset House’s stunning Embankment Galleries (pictured) and at Saatchi Gallery between 15-18 May, when venue hire fee has been reduced by 50%.
Fashionistas will love Kensington Palace’s sumptuous range of gallery spaces, featuring exhibitions such as Victoria Revealed and Fashion Rules, whilst contemporary art fans will adore Whitechapel Gallery’s array of challenging shows, set against the airy brick-exposed spaces.
National Portrait Gallery’s upcoming series includes the much-celebrated BP Portrait Award from 18 June and Audrey Hepburn: Portraits of an Icon from 2 July, the perfect add-ons to events held in the Gallery’s many exquisite spaces. Mall Galleries champion new figurative art by living artists with their rolling programme displayed in the flexible and beautifully contrasting gallery spaces, and are offering promotional rates during their Irish Exhibition, Art of a Nation, running 13 – 31 May.
For events with edge, the Lethaby Gallery in Central Saint Martins’s award-winning Granary Square building is dedicated to promoting the creative talent and the range and diversity of practice across the College, with event spaces including The Street atrium, London’s largest outdoor terrace and various lecture and performance theatre spaces. Next door, the new House of Illustration showcases the work of leading illustrators with past exhibitors including Quentin Blake, Honore Daumier and Paula Rego in its charming 19th century brick building.
