With Lenko joining Bubble on a permanent basis as Events Operations Manager, we wanted to find out more about what makes him tick! So we asked him a few questions…
What has influenced your approach to event management? My Degree in Hospitality Business Management gave me invaluable tools and I learnt a lot during my internships in the USA where I worked with highly experienced event managers with outstanding communications skills.
What’s your most memorable event? The most extraordinary event was our 21 experiences dinner at Kensington Palace. We worked with a food curator and the bespoke menu was multi-sensory, including smells and sounds, all set within such an exquisite and highly prestigious venue. It was a very special experience.
Why did you go into the events industry? Because of the varied social interaction it offers – I regularly meet people from different backgrounds and cultures, whether they’re staff or clients, and sometimes celebrities and members of the royal family! It’s such a pleasure to work in an environment where the focus is on making people happy.
What’s your biggest challenge? Generally I am always looking for ways to improve my performance every time and to ensure that the clients’ experiences exceed expectations. But probably the biggest challenge in my role is managing the last minute changes that always occur! At the beginning I found this a bit stressful, but now, with more experience, it has become a really enjoyable part of my job – no day is ever the same!
What do you like to cook at home? I love to make my Grandmother’s walnut cake as it reminds me of home and my childhood. I’m going to make it when it’s my turn to cook for the Bubble Team Charity Bake Off!
Where’s your favourite place to eat? I love to investigate London’s amazing food markets, which feature an amazing variety of cuisines from around the world. My favourites are Brick Lane and Borough Markets.
What’s your guilty pleasure? I must admit to being a little bit of a geek – I love fantasy films and tv, such as Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones!

Lenko is responsible for orchestrating operational aspects of Bubble events; preparing event schedules, booking staff, supplier liaison, health & safety, supervising warehouse and staff management at events. Lenko’s BA Degree in Hospitality and Business Management, gained at the University of Food Technologies, provided him with a comprehensive knowledge base in all aspects event design and delivery. His considerable expertise was further enhanced during his subsequent events and banqueting roles within 5 star hotels in the US and London, in addition to managing teams of catering staff within the US military, where precision and outstanding performance were mandatory at all times.
