Bubble Food is delighted to be an approved caterer at Banqueting House. We love this venue so much; it was where we launched our Bubble Weddings brand in February 2018 -
When asked to design King James I a new banqueting house, the talented Inigo Jones turned to the harmonious principles of classical
architecture. Jones envisioned an elegantly proportioned double cube, calculated to meet the ancient Roman idea of perfection. Literally – the perfect space. Jones’ architectural gem would later become an artistic marvel, when Charles I added Peter Paul Rubens’ magnificent ceiling paintings.
Purpose built to entertain, it houses two exceptional spaces for corporate and private events.
The Undercroft provides an atmospheric backdrop for pre-dinner drinks or more contemporary parties. A spectacular space, this glorious building embodies the spirit of celebration. With its curved arches and almost gothic ambience, the Undercroft creates an intimate feel for your Guests as they begin their journey through this incredible space. The Guests then climb the grand staircase which leads to magnificent Main Hall.
The Main Hall
Specially created for banqueting in 1622, the Main Hall remains as versatile and inspiring as ever. Accommodating 380 for a seated dinner or 500 for a drinks reception, The Main Hall features magnificent pillars lead the eye up to one of the world's most renowned masterpieces, Ruben's breath-taking ceiling. This space also works incredibly well as a conference venue with full day hires optional on selected Thursdays.
