Chelsea Physic Garden

Chelsea Physic Garden was founded in 1673 by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London for their apprentices to study the medicinal qualities of plants. Today this historic Garden provides a four-acre oasis of green in south west London.

This unique living collection of around 5,000 different edible, useful, medicinal and historical plants is also one of the capital’s most verdant, tranquil and magical event spaces. Whether a wedding, birthday party, corporate reception or gala dinner, the Garden offers the most sublime of settings tucked away behind high walls beside the Thames, making it a true ‘hidden gem’.
