Inside Kensington Palace

Surrounded by spectacular parkland, the Palace offers an especially welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of London. Its calm and peaceful surroundings conceal a building of character. Kensington Palace opens itself to a history of rivalry, politics, heartache and romance. The Palace can claim centuries of artists, craftspeople and fashionable residents, from William Kent to Princess Diana. These creative individuals have shaped Kensington Palace’s exquisite interior and stylish character.

A political centre stage for centuries, the State Apartments hold the conversations of powerful politicians and jostling courtiers in its walls. Whereas today, these elegant spaces offer combined capacity for 700 for a reception and up to 450 for dinner. Alternatively, other venues within the Palace include; the Queen’s Gallery, the Cupola Room, the  Privy Chamber and the spectacular Sunken Garden.

The Kensington Palace Pavilion

Having opened in Spring 2018, the Kensington Palace Pavilion is available to hire and offers fantastic floor-space and views of the Palace and Gardens.

Flooded with natural light, this purpose built venue offers a versatile range of spaces.  Most noteworthy is the covered Terrace which overlooks the Gardens and the Palace itself.  Furthermore, it also has the capacity for 800 for a standing reception and 300 for a seated dinner.

The Pavilion will be in situ until 2021 when The Orangery is due to re-open.
