We were very proud to share our latest canapés and bowl food menus with the hungry guests at Unique Venues of London’s inaugural Unique Insight London 2016 held at the Museum of London.
Building on the theme of the seminar, Return on Investment (see our blog for UVL here), our menus created theatre that sparked conversation and sharing on social media. Our liquid nitrogen station with Cocoa foie gras nuggets and wartime inspired Gunpowder tea smoked quail consommé in a vintage cup, accompanied by smoked fake moustaches were keen talking points!
Guests were also invited to follow chefs putting together canapes such as Beetroot discs with gorgonzola, red onion and micro salad, and Apple discs with smoked cheddar at our Dehydration station.
Sumptuous bowl food included Butternut kuzu gnocchi, ceps, sage, parmesan foam, mushroom, Beef and Cabbage – Lacquered beef, crystallised cabbage, sweet potato mash, and sweet options such as Terrarium – Green tea and pistachio parfait, yuzu, black sesame, and ‘Eggs Benedict’ – Mango, passion, papaya, almond brioche pudding.
The seminar itself featured talks by Javier Bajer and Jamil Qureshi on business practices, performance and behaviour, followed by a panel of representatives from BAFTA, Zibrant and RIBA Venues who discussed providing consistent, repeat experiences on tight budgets and tackling the subject of ROI in a first meeting with a venue, supplier or client.
Moya Maxwell, chair of UVL, said: “This evening was not only a celebration of our membership and their work, but also acknowledges the loyalty of our corporate and agency clients. We designed this event to break away from the norm, an evening of unique, stand-alone content which added value and challenged attitudes.”
